What should I price things at a Garage Sale?(kids and baby stuff)?

I%26#039;m not talking about 6 to 10 year old stuff, The things I%26#039;m selling are only about 3 or 4 years old. I%26#039;ve got some baby and toddler clothes from Gymboree, Baby Gap and Children%26#039;s Place that are fairly new, no stains on them and still look great. There are also several cute pairs of shoes that were never even worn. I%26#039;ve also got a toddler bed with the mattress, a little tykes kitchen and a few VSmart electronic toys that work just fine. Some people I talk to say to price the clothes and toys at a buck or two, but I just can%26#039;t imagine doing that for stuff that originally cost more than 20 bucks. Is 4 or 5 bucks too much? How about the Toddler bed with mattress? The mattress is a Sealy Comfort bed, one side for infants and one side for older babies. Would 20 bucks for the set be too much? Thanks in advance for sharing your advice. -Mich

I know it%26#039;s hard to let go of some of the nice, and good condition items you have at 1 or 2 bucks. Especially knowing you paid a fair amount of money for it. But, I%26#039;ve come to find out A LOT of people want things for 1 or 2 bucks at garage sales, I just had one about 2 weeks ago and faced the same problem. They bought the clothes and toys for about 1-3 bucks, and some of the bigger items at around 5-10, couldn%26#039;t get anyone for 20. I%26#039;m leaving the state so I was in desperate need to get rid of this stuff, I just settled! It depends on the area you%26#039;re in also. Hope this helps.
Reply:I suggest you put a tag lesss 60% off the original price for the pricey ones and things that were barely used. All the others, you can go lower. Give room for a lot of haggling though... The important is for you to get rid of all the stuff that you dont need anymore.

Besides, the joy that you see from another Mom%26#039;s face after acquiring something that she normally couldnt afford should be reward enough for somebody like you who have been blessed with so much more....
