How come when?

Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage.

Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage.

A Muslim attacks a missionary children%26#039;s school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage.

Let%26#039;s go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage.

Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage

Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.

Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged.

Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose.

How come when?
The Muslim are as afraid of the terrorists as anyone else.

Only difference is, they have to live with them.

What would you do if you were born into a family with a bully for a big brother?

You would suffer in silence mostly.
Reply:Nice editorial. You could probably get a show on FOX News. Or if you%26#039;re really lucky you could become Bill O%26#039;Reilly%26#039;s ******.
Reply:You%26#039;re wrong. There was very widespread outrage at all of these (9/11, Beslan massacre, Egypt, Bali, London Tube bombings etc.). There were emphatic and explicit condemnations from imams and ambassadors and throughout the community. Unless you spend your life plugged into Fox or Rush Limbaugh, you must have noticed that. Try representative media.

Your question is more like: Why is the scale of the objections disproportionate?

Also this claim is wrong:

%26quot;Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge.%26quot;

They were in fact 4 American mercenaries contracting for Blackwater USA at Fallujah. Not civilians.

%26#039;Soon after the four U.S. %26quot;civilian contractors%26quot; died in Fallujah, it became obvious they weren%26#039;t %26quot;civilians%26quot; at all. All four were trained commandos--at least three had years of experience in elite U.S. military units. They were working for the private mercenary army called %26quot;Blackwater USA.%26quot; All were heavily armed. One carried a Department of Defense ID card.

The official story is that these heavily armed mercenaries were in Fallujah to %26quot;protect food shipments.%26quot; But that day, there were no %26quot;food shipments%26quot; in sight. The Marines had just gone door-to-door arresting men for interrogation--and so there has been speculation in Fallujah that these commandos were on a mission to capture or assassinate people fingered as part of the resistance.%26#039;

Boyfriend has another child, when ours passed away 6 months ago?

My bf of 4 years has just told me that he has gotten another girl pregnant .Last June I had gotten pregnant with twins by another guy but at the time we were not together but he stood by me,in november I had the twins and they passed away.So i%26#039;m not really sure what I should do.My heart can not stand to be around this child when my children has passed away.I do not blame this child because I know this is not the child%26#039;s fault, but i%26#039;m very hurt and my heart is so heavy. What would you do if you were in my shoes? Be as honest as possible!! Thanks in advance

I kicked him out,but i%26#039;m not sure if that was fair because he was there for me,but then again,I can%26#039;t stand to look at him.

Boyfriend has another child, when ours passed away 6 months ago?
I%26#039;m sorry for your loss!

He cheated on you when you were at your most saddest point in your life.He sought comfort in another woman and now is committed to raising a child with this other woman who is probably happy you threw him out so he could run to her and make a happy little family.

Some things in life are simply unforgiveable and having a baby with someone else when you are in a committed relationship is one of those things. He slept with her unprotected! He didn%26#039;t give a crap about no one but himself and selfish needs. Don%26#039;t let people drill in your head that the child is innocent, so what, it has nothing to do with the child innocence. People try to throw that guilt phrase out there too loosely. The child IS the reason you feel the way you do!!

This other woman is likely waiting on him to choose her and that child since she has his child now. No woman want to raise a child alone!!

He is not a good man to do what he has done to a four year relationship. When things got difficult he ran away, typical immature behavior when the chips fall down hard on some men.

Let%26#039;s this be the crystal ball to how he handles future conflicts and difficult situations. If you take him back he will run for comfort in another woman. Do not take him back nor allow people to tell you not to blame the baby! IT IS THE BABY%26#039;S FAULT!

Live your life, mourn over the good times with him and seek a strong, confident man that would break off a relationship first before jumping into another one, especially one that involves babies!!
Reply:Ummm I think you probably need to think over if you guys are committed. You both have gotten pregnant by other people, please use protection!! I am sorry for the loss of your twins but it isn%26#039;t a reason to resent the other child. I would say the most important thing is whether you want to be with your bf or if you think this is enough.
Reply:Maybe you need time alone to get your head together. Not sure if you%26#039;re both off having kids with others that you%26#039;re ready to commit to each other. I looked at your 360 profile - you%26#039;d had such sadness I think you need to give yourself a break and take time out from relationships for a while and then look for a different type of man. I thought you said you were pregnant with a little girl due in September ???? xx
Reply:Listen to your feelings.
Reply:you need to tell him how your feeling. im sorry to hear about your twins
Reply:be honest

tell him how you feel

i think he%26#039;ll understand your side of the story
Reply:I think you did the right thing to kick him out, not because of this situation in particular, but rather because your relationship was not working out.

In my view there are simply too many complicated and unresolved issues surrounding your relationship. To add insult to injury, you have just been through a very traumatic experience, which is probably really bogging you down.

I think that you did the right thing - not for the sake of this situation, but for your own. I think it would be best if your moved on, found your feet again and pursued a new relationship.

in a Freedom March today?%26quot;

%26quot;No, baby, no, you may not go,

for the dogs are fierce and wild,

and clubs and hoses, guns and jails

ain%26#039;t good for a little child.%26quot;

%26quot;But, mother, I won%26#039;t be alone.

Other children will go with me,

and march the streets of Birmingham

to make our country free.%26quot;

%26quot;No, baby, no, you may not go,

for I fear those guns will fire.

But you may go to church instead

and sing in the children%26#039;s choir.%26quot;

She has combed and brushed her nightdark hair,

and bathed rose petal sweet,

and drawn white gloves on her small brown hands,

and white shoes on her feet.

The mother smiled to know her child

was in the sacred place,

but that smile was the last smile

to come upon her face.

For when she heard the explosion,

her eyes grew wet and wild.

She raced through the streets of Birmingham

calling for her child.

She clawed through bits of glass and brick,

then lifted out

The poem is about the civil rights movement in Birmingham, Alabama during the Birmingham bus strike, 1960%26#039;s. Poem is a dialog between mother and child. Child wants to participate in civil rights riots while Mom is concerned about child%26#039;s safety. Actually modeled after actual events concluding with the bombing of 16th street Baptist Church in April 1963. Here is an article:

Another kids clothing question!!?

My 1st grade daughter is fine wearing jeans, tees, and sneakers. My youngest will be starting kindergarten in the fall and she LOVES to stand out in a crowd in every possible way!! So I plan to do a lot of her shopping at The Children%26#039;s Place, Limited Too, GAP, etc.

My question for all you shoppers is this~~On average, what do you think is a reasonable amount to spend on one outfit? I would like estimates that include and exclude the cost of shoes.

Please and thank you!!

Another kids clothing question!!?
I have boys and even if they don%26#039;t care about how they look, I like for them to look nice, so I shop at the same stores you mention - not for all their clothes. I also like Talbots (they have a great outlet!). I can spend $35 easy (without shoes) on an outfit and $55 for a special occasion (Holiday). If you buy pieces that can be mixed and matched with others, you can build a nice wardrobe. I believe that quality has a price. You should always hit the sale and clearance rack first.
Reply:Oh Jesus! Lets just buy our kids brand names and teach them that paying double just because it has a ceratain logo is important because the more it apppears you pay for clothes the cooler you are. Why don%26#039;t you get her implants and a brazilian butt lift as well? I think fashion is a form of self-expression, so I%26#039;m not bashing it, but as someone else mentioned, kids are going to just outgrow and/or ruin their duds anyways, so why not buy the cute but cheap non-brand-name stuff and spend the money you save on books or extra-curricular activities so she knows her mind and interests are more important than her appearance. If you emphasise looks at such a young age, she%26#039;s gonna grow up basing her self worth on her physical appearance and not on what really matters, her character.
Reply:I am a bargain shopper. I LOVE looking at amazon.com, and many other sites to find the clearance. I try not to spend more than $20 per outfit for my daughter(1 year) and about 30 for my son(7 years). Now that is because I have to buy jeans with the adjustable tabs for my son. We do not have a wal-mart or anything like like here, so I am stuck to the PX. They go through clothes so fast that I would try to find things cheap.
Reply:They are so young why buy brand names? They will get paint and grass stains on them wait a bit until it matters when their apperance is everything to them, as at the moment it doesnt.
Reply:Top - 10 to 15

Pants - 20
Reply:You`ve got a little diva, like me, my daughter did`nt really start till 3rd grade, my advice, get some stuff from sale at the stores, let her pick em out.You go to 2handed stores %26amp; buy stuff, some basics, like underclothes for layering, at the dollar store,She needs lots of clothes, my daughter likes to create her own style. If you center on wearing only brand new ,or the name you are gonna wind up in the poor house. My daughter loves all kinds ofclothes, no matter where they come from. I`ve also hadher teacher comment on them! How cool she dressed
Reply:I don%26#039;t understand why people go so overboard on kids clothes. They outgrow them or destroy them too fast. Besides that you are being very materialistic and teaching that to your children. Why not go to target and get her some outfits. They have cute things there. Then take all the extra money you would have spent and think about a child that is not as lucky. Maybe donate some children%26#039;s clothes to a battered women%26#039;s shelter or homeless shelter. Think about the bigger issues in the world then what label is in your clothes.
Reply:Well she is only in first grade and 6-7 years old so you dont want to buy very expensive clothes.. Shes gonna play hard in them, eat in them ect.. So I suggest Target for clothes and my estimate with out shoes is 20 dollars including pants(not jeans) t-shirt-sweater. With shoes.. well shoes range from 10 to 20 dollars sooo 30 to 40 dollars
Reply:FROM MY POINT OF VIEW 50 AN OUT FIT I HAD MY LITTLE BOY START K IN NAME BRAND CLOHES WE SPENT 300 DOLLARS NOT INCLUDING SHOES AND HE NOW NEEDS NEW ONES THEY DO ALOT OF ACTIVITIES AND THEY GET MESSED UP!!!
Reply:I highly suggest the thrift stores! Here%26#039;s a tip - it%26#039;s worth going to an affluent area and hitting their thrift stores. You find great brands, durable cute clothes for a fraction of the cost.

Now about setting the record straight. I don%26#039;t think a paragraph on this forum is going to set any record straight. Smarter people have spent lives trying to reconcile the religions of the world and we are still we are where we are.

Christ said who ever is innocent he should cast the first stone. So lets see if we can blame all the Muslims and Islam for the actions of a few and we can say that the Quran tells Muslims to kill Christians and Jews, then lets also blame all Christians for the actions of the few bad one and Christianity as well. Lets also look at the Bible about how it tells Christians that the Jews killed Christ and what sort of persecution that engenders. Also the Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 107b says that “Jesus performed magic and incited the people of Israel and led them astray.” According to these Jewish texts, Jesus was executed for religious crimes and offenses that mattered to Jews.

But wait before everyone starts getting defensive my point is not to blame everyone or point out the negative. My point is that everything comes with the good and the bad. Christianity has helped millions, heck billions of people around the world and over time. It has improved the human condition and so has Judaism. Believe it or not so has Islam. Remember the dark ages, when Europe was nothing but a back water of the world. All the enlightenment and learning and tolerance was actually in the Islamic world. Heck Baghdad isn%26#039;t called the cradle of civilization for no reason. In Europe however, people were burned at the stake for opposing the church, later still protestants were persecuted, Spanish inquisition and much more. Not really much point in listing all that.

And now that the enlightenment is centered in a different part of the world we go throwing aspersions on the rest of the world.

Here is what history teaches us. If you get arrogant and lazy and begin to consider yourself better than others. You are on the express train to oblivion. The Romans thought all those who weren%26#039;t from rome were %26#039;barbarians%26#039;, the Nazi’s thought all those who were not from them were lesser than them. I guess those barbarians showed those Romans and those playboy yanks showed those superior race folks.

Not so long ago the general idea was that women weren%26#039;t as smart or as capable. Even lesser time ago the idea was the blacks were somehow less than human.

You see where I am going. If you pass a simple judgment that those people are just crazy or evil you are actually weakening yourself.
Reply:They usually point out a few Americanized Muslim cleric%26#039;s voicing concern about these things but fail to realize if Muslims reacted to all these insidious crimes by Muslims GLOBALLY like they did with those stupid cartoons of Muhammad - if they with one voice condemned with outrage these beheadings THEN the world might be convinced Islam was really a religion of peace.

Instead all you get is a few voices with the weight of whispering in a closed room so they don%26#039;t offend the violent of Islam.

There are indeed some Muslims who would like peace - but the violent ones are having their way. The peaceful are negated by the violent ones.
Reply:I%26#039;ve actually seen on pictures on-line that Muslims are overjoyed about September 11th, but there are killers in every religion.
Reply:Not only do they not oppose these things, They celebrate in the streets when Jews or Christians are killed. They go into ecstatic frenzies %26amp; celebrate by shooting guns in the air %26amp; they have their pictures taken with the corpses.

They do NOT have a religion of peace. They do NOT respect life.

They do NOT show tolerance for other religions. If they did; then why are church bells forbidden in Islamic countries? Why do they prohibit Jews from going onto the Temple Mound?
Reply:good job.

so you been collecting all the negative thing about islam. i dare you to show the positive side of Islam. but no way. there is no different between you and the media. that%26#039;s exactly what media is trying to do .
Reply:Muslims are on the receiving end of practically all the wars going on in the world today, why is the world not outraged?

The only reason why I bordered to answer this undeniably skewed question is to set the records straight as regards karen%26#039;s answer to the Question....I hope she gets to read it.

The Holy Quran Chapter 9, verse 11 has nothing to do with any eagle:

it states....

..But if they repent, establish regular prayers, and pay Zakah, they are your brethren in Faith: thus do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand. Quran 9, verse 11.

I wonder where she gets that quote from , It is definitely not a verse of the Holy Quran.
Reply:I think that before we spek to this problem we should all take a serious look at all of todays religions.

Questions to be answered:

1. What religion spreads through violent behavior?

2. Out of all of todays conflics, what religion is at the heart of most.

3. What religion teaches peace and is based upon 1500 years of written history.

You don%26#039;t see Christian or Jews or Hindu or Buddist or even athiest going around behedding people in the name of their God.

Muslims do these things.

Basically we are looking for the truth....God gives it to us daily if we listen.
Reply:I think you make a fabulous point! I am NOT Muslim however, I had to take a class on world religions in college and I just wanted to share with you what I learned.

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)-(note the verse number)

Koran (9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace!

Reply:Urm..dear sir..how do u know that the person who killed the children (christian in indonesia) was muslim? did the television show u the process of the killing, no right?

dont just the tele tell u this and that u took it by heart. For e.g. what had happen in Iraq when people said the muslim kidnapped the reporters etc..how can u tell that the person behind the mask is a muslim? just because he spoke arabic so he%26#039;s a muslim? what about a christian who lived in egypt, doesnt he speak arabic too? Plus nowadays people can converse in arabic fluently if they took up arabic class.

Sir i hope that u and other (both muslim and christian) stop being a racist of religion. Start respecting other people religion as it will help us to make world a better place to live in.

world PEace
Reply:well, I dont think u should generalise a religion. there are black spots in all religions.

howeverat the same time you cannot ignore these facts. At this time, when the whole community is under attack because of some fanatics, the muslim liberals should also come out. It is important, and it is unfortunately becoming necessary as there is the danger of all the muslims becoming typecast.

The leaders of the religion are either fanatics or too weak, because of which there is a need for some to raise up their voices and probably put their lives in danger for the sake of their own religion.
Reply:it doesn%26#039;t show you what islam is really about. what about all the islamic people who are fighting in our army? i%26#039;m sure they are plenty outraged, dont assume that just because someone doesn%26#039;t start a riot that means that they aren%26#039;t completely against the horrible things done in their God%26#039;s name. The real reason the sensible muslims didn%26#039;t start a riot after 9/11, even though they were horrified, is because they are sensible. and the reason the muslims that aren%26#039;t sensible did start a riot after the cartoon is because they aren%26#039;t sensible
Reply:An excellent question indeed. Muslims are just things who love war and bloodshed...(they are too inhumane to b called human)
Reply:Just shows you what islam really is about
Reply:They don%26#039;t show outrage, because for them it is completely normal all of the above
Reply:that right the christian did half that they want hang them
Reply:muslims are bloody sick bastards mate

Do Heely's cause kids to develop physical disabilities?

I have heard of Heelys (most popular brand is made by Heelys - http://www.heelys.com/) being banned in some malls, schools, and playgrounds due to safety concerns related to possible injuries resulting from their use, however, has any research been done about the effect of using Heelys on a child%26#039;s development? The way that a child needs to walk when not %26quot;wheeling%26quot; down the sidewalk is unnatural. Is it possible that by allowing our children to wear these shoes we are contributing to developmental issues by promoting bad posture and possibly physical disabilities as a result of poorly developed bone structure from their walking unnaturally during formative years?

Do Heely%26#039;s cause kids to develop physical disabilities?
Whenever kids have to resort to walking on their tiptoes; which is what they do when the skate part of their shoe is down and enabled, you can always end up developing foot problems. For a different reason, there have been many articles lately about the dangers of %26quot;heelys%26quot;. Kids are injuring themselves by falling down. http://www.abcnews.go.com/Health/Exercis...

Personally, I can%26#039;t stand them, and I especially can%26#039;t stand the parents who act like their children should not follow simple manners while on them.
Reply:Unless they are using them at age 1 they would not cause any problems. That%26#039;s when they learn to walk. It%26#039;s not like a kid is going to forget how to walk just because he/she has heelies. Let%26#039;s be realistic here. Didn%26#039;t you have roller skates when you were little? Can you still walk???

Of course they are banning them in school and malls and such. The kids use them and then they knock stuff over and they could fall too and the schools or malls don%26#039;t want to be sued. Makes perfect sense.

Of course Heelies don%26#039;t change a child%26#039;s developement.
Reply:My kids have Heely%26#039;s and I%26#039;m not worried about them stunting their growth or causing problems with bone structure. My kids have rules to follow

1: Heely%26#039;s are not sneakers, they are roller skates, wear them as such

2: Heely%26#039;s are not to be worn, in the house, in school, in church, in any place of business.

3. Heely%26#039;s are roller skates, you wear skates you wear a helmet and pads.
Reply:they do if the kids ride them like stupid kids!

i was driving yesterday and a girl -probably 12 or 13 - was crossing the street. walk 5 feet, wheel 2 feet, walk 3 feet, wheel 1 foot... all across the 4 lane road.

retarded, just retarded.

i know! they have to walk on thier tiptoes!
Reply:I don%26#039;t think there is anything to worry about. My daughter%26#039;s school does not allow Heelys to be worn during the school day. She leaves the house at 7:15 AM and is home by 3:15 PM (sixth grade). Since she can%26#039;t wear her Heely%26#039;s to school, she is wearing regular sneakers from 6:30 AM until at least 3:30 PM. She goes to karate at 7:15 (barefoot), and gets changed into her pajamas when she gets home. So the most she is wearing her Heelys during the course of a day is 3 hours. And during that period of time, she is also doing her homework and eating, so she is not walking on them. That is not enough time to cause any kind of developmental problem in her posture or anything else.
Reply:I would have thought they banned them because too many kids were bumping into other people or shop displays. I can%26#039;t see how heelies would affect a child%26#039;s development.
Reply:There have been studies stating that walkers (used in infancy and young toddlers) can cause children to not walk properly as a result of the Achilles tendons not fully developing as they should during these years, but I think children of the age who are using these are more developed and less susceptible to physical problems as a result. Most of the kids using these are not using them in place of walking all the time, rather when they catch a few seconds in the hall or mall when an adult is not supervising them.

What should I price things at a Garage Sale?(kids and baby stuff)?

I%26#039;m not talking about 6 to 10 year old stuff, The things I%26#039;m selling are only about 3 or 4 years old. I%26#039;ve got some baby and toddler clothes from Gymboree, Baby Gap and Children%26#039;s Place that are fairly new, no stains on them and still look great. There are also several cute pairs of shoes that were never even worn. I%26#039;ve also got a toddler bed with the mattress, a little tykes kitchen and a few VSmart electronic toys that work just fine. Some people I talk to say to price the clothes and toys at a buck or two, but I just can%26#039;t imagine doing that for stuff that originally cost more than 20 bucks. Is 4 or 5 bucks too much? How about the Toddler bed with mattress? The mattress is a Sealy Comfort bed, one side for infants and one side for older babies. Would 20 bucks for the set be too much? Thanks in advance for sharing your advice. -Mich

What should I price things at a Garage Sale?(kids and baby stuff)?
I know it%26#039;s hard to let go of some of the nice, and good condition items you have at 1 or 2 bucks. Especially knowing you paid a fair amount of money for it. But, I%26#039;ve come to find out A LOT of people want things for 1 or 2 bucks at garage sales, I just had one about 2 weeks ago and faced the same problem. They bought the clothes and toys for about 1-3 bucks, and some of the bigger items at around 5-10, couldn%26#039;t get anyone for 20. I%26#039;m leaving the state so I was in desperate need to get rid of this stuff, I just settled! It depends on the area you%26#039;re in also. Hope this helps.
Reply:I suggest you put a tag lesss 60% off the original price for the pricey ones and things that were barely used. All the others, you can go lower. Give room for a lot of haggling though... The important is for you to get rid of all the stuff that you dont need anymore.

Besides, the joy that you see from another Mom%26#039;s face after acquiring something that she normally couldnt afford should be reward enough for somebody like you who have been blessed with so much more....

What would you have done?

Today when I picked my son up from school, there was a father with about a one-year-old on his hip. He had taken his child out of the stroller while they waited outside. (They had a dog in tow as well.) The child had on no hat, no mittens, and- get this- no socks or shoes.

I live in the northern part of the country. It%26#039;s cold here right now. The child%26#039;s feet were bright red.

Given that this person is a nodding aquaintence and that your children and his children will be attending the same schools for the next nine years, what, if anything, would you have said to him about the baby not being dressed for the weather?

What would you have done?
I would have said: %26quot;Dude, those baby feet look cold.%26quot;
Reply:I would have said something, then regretted saying it later. It is true how some dad%26#039;s are clueless. He probably didn%26#039;t even realise. Attending the same school as your children could jeopardise their friendships but. But if his child was to become sick, this too may affect you children. It%26#039;s a hard situation as you do not know how he would have reacted.
Reply:People like you need to mind your own business. The kid will be fine. When my son was 3 and we were sleeping, he ran outside in 0 degree winter bare foot and a diaper because he heard a siren and wanted to see. What happened? Nothing. Beleive it or not he%26#039;s still alive and 20 now.
Reply:Thats what is wrong with the world today too many people turn their heads ..Ya i think you should have said something ..It is your business ..Thats why people are so bad these days ..I feel for you though it was a difficult situation im sure..
Reply:nothing not my business.

and having his kid and your kid going to the same school doesnt really have anything to do with the way the child was dressed.

if you were to however say something..to try and not sound rude , maybe just go up to the dad and start talking to him, then look at the baby and say%26quot; aww you cute little thing, look at your feet they%26#039;re all red..are you cold? aww your so cute%26quot; and then move on and keep talking to the dad not to make it obvious..i said that because thats what i saw a lady do once to a lady that had her kid with barely anything on a cold day.

i wouldnt say anything because its not my business, even if i didnt like/agree with what was happening.
Reply:Knowing me I would have spoken right up. The child is more important than social graces.
Reply:I would of started to look around on the ground and told the guy did your baby lose his socks?

Just keep an eye on him next time and see if you see it again..
Reply:That is a tough one... I mean it isn%26#039;t your child, so really is it any of your business? But at the same time the childs safety is important.

I probably wouldn%26#039;t have had the courage to say anything....but I would pay attention and see if he does it all the time.

But if you know the mother then maybe you could mention it to her...... Sorry I am no help!
Reply:In this precise case silence is far from golden...

I would have talked my head off..
Reply:I think I would have been as polite as possible and made some small talk while offering to hold the baby so he could handle the dog. I would then have wrapped the child up in my comforter or spare sweat coat I always keep in my car until he was ready to go and chat about the cold weather, I live in the north country too, and hope he got the hint.....hehe
Reply:The exact context is the critical thing; what was the weather; what temp what wind? The exact details make all the difference. If the Dad was all buttoned up with hat and mittens then it%26#039;s clear that you should say something. I%26#039;m sure that was not the case since no reasonable person would even ask the question in that situation; the Dad is a nut. If the Dad was wearing just wearing a shirt and no heavy coat, hat, or mittens then really there is no issue; that baby is just fine!
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t have the guts to say anything to him. Just try and put yourself in his place- would you want someone coming up to you and saying something about how you dressed your child? It%26#039;s probably best not to say anything.
Reply:I would have walked up and said something like,%26quot;It sure did get colder of all a sudden!%26quot; as I put something around the baby.I know that there are lots of great dads out there but some dads and moms just don%26#039;t realize that a baby can%26#039;t take the cold like an adult can even for a short period of time. Besides what is he going to say to you? My child likes frost bitten toes! The child%26#039;s safety comes first.
Reply:I more than likely would have said something concerning the weather as I suggest you may want to do in the future to prevent yourself from feeling guilty later on.
Reply:You know....maybe the one yr old had a blanket in the stroller or maybe the baby even had socks, mittens and/or a hat on, but took them off in the stroller??

Dads can be clueless sometimes...if it was a one time occurance, then I wouldnt be too concerned. Do you know the mom? Maybe you could jokingly say, %26quot;I cant believe your husband had the baby out the other day with no socks or hat on, what was he thinking?? It was really cold!%26quot; You know, something to that effect. Or to the dad...on that day...%26quot;did you know the baby%26#039;s socks were off? his feet look cold.%26quot; Or %26quot;Ooh...looking at the baby, is making me cold without his socks and hat on%26quot;

I am from the south, so I would have said something light hearted and conversational, yet let the dad know the baby%26#039;s feet are COLD.
Reply:I would have said something to him about the baby%26#039;s red feet. You should not mind your own business when someone is being hurt and neglected.
Reply:i would have offered a blanket or my jacket for the baby. Rude as that seems or not childs safety is top priority
Reply:It s a different time nowadays. You can%26#039;t really interfere or say anything because they will simply tell you to mind your own business. Long ago if a child was in danger, or a person would fall down, you would do anything to give a hand, help them and be respectful and thanked after all. Now if you try to help a child that has fallen down let s say, the parent or even the child will start screaming saying you pushed them. The times have changed, no one trusts anyone anymore. It seems like less good is being done around us. And I can understand your frustration, but don%26#039;t feel bad. It would have been nice if you had helped in some way, but you never know who you are dealing with. So try and take your mind off of it. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the man or some crazy reason why that happened, and hopefully the baby will be fine.
Reply:hmm thats tough, because although ur not close with these people, its not healthy for someone that young to be out with out those things at this time, esp socks and shoes!

either just let it go, unless u see it again,

or if ur comfortable enough to, if u see the mother just mention it to her
Reply:Buy these for the child and see if they wear them.
